2011 marks the 100th Anniversary of International Women’s day.  AWISE will celebrate by profiling and publicising 100 Australian women who have made and/or are making major impacts in the science, engineering and IT arenas.  These inspirational women (and girls) have agreed to share their thoughts with the purpose of inspiring all of us to pursue our careers and to challenge ourselves to explore the potential of our lives both professionally and personally.

 

Profiles of these women have strived to capture the human aspects and not the corporate aspects of their lives to highlight that these women did not become who they are over night or all alone.

 

We launch on March 8th with our own Sonja Bernhardt who is one of the co-founders of AWISE,  the Chair of the AWISE Advisory Board and a 2011 OAM recipient.  We will publish 10 women per month in various categories until the end of the year so visit often and be inspired.
