Description:	Madeleine Sanders is a Delivery Program Executive for IBM Global Technology Services Delivery. She has over thirty years in the IT Industry, in a great variety of roles and technologies spending half her career overseas in Europe, Africa, America and Asia. Initially commencing as a computer operator, she held technical and business roles such as systems programmer, analyst, project and program manager and IT Director for Westinghouse (London). Other companies she has worked for include AXA, the Stock Exchange, Hertz Rent-a-Car, Xerox, Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, Digital, TAB, British Petroleum and Praxa. A fervent supporter of the IT profession as a great choice for women, Madeleine co-founded "Women are I.T." in January 1997 to encourage women to choose I.T. as a career and raise the status of women in Australian business, and in the I.T. industry in particular. In May 2005, she became the founding board member and secretary of AWISE, Australian Women in IT and Science Entity. She joined IBM in September 1997.
